SEATTLE - A high-tech Christmas tree in Seattle's Westlake Center has gone back to its more traditional ways.

The tree had been decorated with lights that were supposed to dance to favorite holiday tunes.

But the show was plagued with technical difficulties blamed on the Pacific Northwest's damp weather.

Westlake Center officials tried to fix the problems for two weeks, hoping to provide what they called 'an exceptional experience for shoppers.'

On Friday, the Center decided to abandon the high-tech show and crews restrung the tree with gleaming white lights.

Westlake bills the tree, which is not real, as 'sustainable.'
