For Pam and Phillip Boulding, making music is a family affair. Everyone in their family takes part in performances, especially around the holidays, traveling from around the country to western Washington for these special, yearly concerts. Pam and Philip have performed and recorded for decades as the duo Magical Strings, and have wowed everyone from fans, to critics and even former Russian President Boris Yeltsin. They performed a holiday medley with their 12-year-old granddaughter, Irish dancer Rowan, on New Day today!

Magical Strings will perform live on NW Focus, Friday night at 8:00pm on Classical KING-FM (98.1). Show host Sean MacLean joined us to share what makes the show so special and how important it is to keep providing live classical music on the radio.

Pam, Philip and their family will also perform a series of Celtic Yuletide Concerts.(scroll down for a list of upcoming concerts)
