SEATTLE - A micro earthquake shook an area on the Kitsap Peninsula early Tuesday.

The Pacific Northwest Seismic Network reports that the magnitude 2.2 earthquake was centered four miles south-southwest of east Port Orchard and occurred at 3:48 a.m.

The depth was seven miles.
