Seattle natives Macklemore and Ryan Lewis are the first duo to send their first two singles to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Can't Hold Us, featuring Seattleite Ray Dalton, moved from No. 2 to the top spot this week. The earlier No. 1, Thrift Shop, topped the chart for six weeks, although not consecutively.

The last Seattle artist to reach No. 1 was Sir Mix-a-Lot with Baby Got Back in 1992, the Seattle P-I reports.

Thrift Shop is the most successful track off The Heist, the first studio album from Macklemore and Lewis, which debuted at No. 1 on iTunes when it was released last October. The video on YouTube has more than 290 million views on YouTube. Can't Hold Us has more than 20 million views.
