A former state trooper is fighting to get his job back. Trooper Jeff Laeuger was fired for shooting at a car thief who tried to run him down last April.
In February, the Washington State Patrol decided to fire the decorated trooper after an investigation found the traffic stop violated state patrol policy.
Laeuger's union argues that the trooper's life was in danger when he fired. The union's board members voted to pay for Laeuger's legal representation.
KING 5's Chris Ingalls looked at the evidence collected by the WSP investigator.
