Many people with animals in Darrington are struggling to feed them. The cost of going around the blocked highway to get feed is very high.

On Saturday, Cargill Nutrena donated 27 tons of animal feed to the people of Darrington. Dog and cat food, chicken feed, alfalfa pellets and several other types of feed was donated.

I'm going to start crying, said Sueann Campbell, who has been caring for several horses that were left homeless after the slide.

This is so great and my volunteers being here, our volunteers being here, is just so heartwarming, and everything is coming together and it's so humbling, she said.
