King County Sheriff's detectives on Thursday seized dozens of cases of liquor from Puerta Vallerta Restaurant in West Seattle.

A Sheriff's spokesperson said the owner is under investigation for buying liquor stolen from grocery stores.

Neighboring merchants told KING 5 News that they were surprised. They described the restaurant owner as a good man who's run the businesses located in West Seattle's Junction for 20 years.

No charges have been filed.
