A Michigan man's quick-thinking -- and a handy kitchen utensil -- saved a baby struggling to breathe.
Two weeks ago, baby Nessa suddenly stopped breathing. BillHogenson was working nearby in the neighborhood when he heard Nessa's babysitter talking on the phone with 911 operators.
Hogenson entered the house and began performing CPR on Nessa. She continued struggling to breathe, so he knew he had to try something else.
Iwent to the drawer and found a turkey baster and used the turkey baster to clear her nasal passage and her airway, Hogenson said.
Nessa's parents said it was fate that Hogenson was working in the neighborhood that night and was there to save Nessa.
