The union representing thousands of Boeing engineers and technicians filed a new unfair labor practice charge against the aerospace company on Thursday -- just days before the two sides are set to resume contract negotiations.

The new complaint by SPEEA says Boeing videotaped a protest march inside the Everett assembly building.

This type of surveillance of union activity is illegal because it tends to intimidate people into not engaging in union activity, said Ray Goforth, SPEEA's executive director.

Boeing said it followed all labor laws during the ongoing contract negoations.
