SEATTLE, Wash. -- Seattle-based Amazon.com announced a deal with CBS Wednesday to offer free streaming of 18 shows for Amazon Prime users, including Cheers, Frasier, and the complete Star Trek franchise.
The deal, which has given a huge boost to Amazon Prime s video-on-demand service, will allow Amazon to add 2,000 episodes of CBS programming to its library. With CBS s contribution, Amazon Prime will now offer over 8,000 movies and television shows.
