EVERETT, Wash. -- Police are investigating an early morning shooting outside an Everett nightclub.
Officers say they were responding to a call about a fight outside the Club Broadway near Everett Avenue and Colby Avenue at about 1:49 a.m. When officers arrived, they heard several gunshots.
Investigators say two men, ages 28 and 26, and a 23-year-old woman were shot, but all three are expected to survive.
A club manager says the shots appear to have come from an alley near the parking lot.
Police say after the shootings people took off running, and some club goers jumped in vehicles and sped off. Officers were able to catch up with a white Suburban. Two people inside the vehicle were detained for questioning.
Officers also detained a man at the scene who was reportedly getting in the way, according to Sergeant Robert Goetz of the Everett Police.
He was obstructing their efforts to assist the victims. He was detained and he will be questioned about the incident itself. We don't know if he is connected or not. However when you are obstructing a police officer when he's trying to help victims you are going to be put in handcuffs, says Goetz.
Police say no arrests have been made.
Police are questioning witnesses and the shooting victims as part of their ongoing investigation.
(There were) plenty of people out here tonight who saw the incident, said Sergeant Robert Goetz of the Everett Police. Our major crimes detectives will talk to those folks and try to get on paper what they'd seen tonight.
