Geoff Tate is one busy man. Not only is he about to embark upon a cross-country tour with his band Queensryche (guitarists Kelly Gray and Robert Sarzo, bassist Rudy Sarzo, keyboard player Randy Gane, drummer Simon Wright and backup singer/ Sister Mary Sass Jordan), he's also created a unique show he calls the history of rock, Vaudeville-style. The show, Rock and Vaudeville featuring Geoff Tate of Queensryche, which will run for three nights in May, includes Geoff performing iconic rock songs from the 1950's to today, along with burlesque and go-go dancers, aerialists and other circus performers.
Geoff performed the Kinks' hit Lola, then joined Margaret to talk more about the creative concept of the show, along with how he and creative partner Jason Ames selected the bands to be honored (The Kinks, Beatles, Rolling Stones, AC/DC and Bill Haley & the Comets, to name just a few). Jason accompanied Geoff during his performance, along with dancers: Miranda Tate, Marni Epstein, Kenzie Dick and Cheri Mae, with special guest, renowned Seattle Burlesque star Fuscia Foxx.
Rock and Vaudeville featuring Geoff Tate of Queensryche runs Thursday, May 1 through Saturday, May 3 at The Triple Door in Seattle. Please click here for showtimes and ticket information.
Geoff and his Queensryche bandmates hit the road for a cross country tour which begins Saturday, March 8 at the Peppermill Casino in Wendover, Nevada. Please click here for the band's entire tour schedule.
