BELLEVUE, Wash. -- A worker was killed at a construction site at Bellevue College Monday.
The incident happened around 10 a.m. at the new construction site for the health sciences building at the college.
A worker was in the process of climbing down a ladder on the top floor at the construction site when he fell about 40-50 feet to the ground.
Bailey Construction was doing the work at the site. It's unknown at this point if the worker killed worked for Bailey Construction or a subcontractor.
The worker is described as a male in his 30s. Police are in the process of tracking down the man's family to notify them.
The worker reportedly was wearing a safety harness, but it's unknown if his harness was attached to anything.
Police and Labor and Industries investigators were at the scene and interviewing witnesses.
