ReShonda Tate Billingsley is an author whose string of bestselling novels resonate with readers from all walks of life. As one of the country's top inspirational fiction authors, her Amen series has been optioned by BET Film. The first novel to be made into a movie is Let the Church Say Amen, directed by acclaimed actress Regina King and produced by Queen Latifah's production company, Flavor Unit Entertainment.
Her newest novel, What's Done in the Dark just came out last week. ReShonda joined host MargaretLarson on the show today to tell us about her newest book, and all the other exciting projects in her life, including Brown Girl Publishing, a boutique publishing company she co-founded with her friend, bestselling author Victoria Christopher Murray. The company has already signed an admirable list of authors, including Seattle's Nina Foxx, who recently joined New Day to talk about the very real dangers outlined in her young adult novel Catfish.
