OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Dozens of Thurston County burglary victims are reuniting with their valuables after a crime ring bust last month.

The Olympia Police Department is hosting an evidence open house for the public to view items seized from the burglary ring that targeted homes between November and February. Items range from live ammunition, to laptops, dozens of watches and pieces of jewelry.

So many victims were attempting to view the goods on Monday, police had to turn several people away. The next viewing is set for Wednesday at 9am at CityHall, located at 601 Fourth Ave. E.

Police report about 25% of the people who sign up to view items, identify something they lost.

That includes Pat Cohn who spotted a gold watch swiped from her bedroom just before Christmas while she and her husband were away.

It s all coming back to me, she says. You lose something forever, and then there it is! I didn't think I'd be this emotional.

On Feb. 13, police arrested a Lacey man and 10 suspected accomplices and recovered jewelry, firearms, coins and electronics that are possibly linked to at least 28 burglaries throughout Thurston County, according to Olympia police.
