Saturday, March 8th, marks the 106th annual International Women's Day, with events planned worldwide to celebrate achievements by girls and women, and to empower others to pursue their goals, no matter how high. Marketing expert Whitney Keyes drew upon her own experience at Microsoft, American Express and other major corporations to write a bestselling book:PROPEL: FIVE WAYS TO AMP UP YOUR MARKETING AND ACCELERATE BUSINESS. She has also received grants from the U.S. State Department to travel to Asia and Africa to help women launch businesses and empower others in the process. In February, she helped bring together businesswomen from the Seattle area and Malaysia for a powerful workshop and networking session.
Whitney joined Margaret to share her experiences and offer tips to help women (and men) inspire change within themselves and others, in business and elsewhere.
There are several events planned this Saturday to celebrate International Women's Day in Seattle, including the Vital Voices Global Mentoring Walk, sponsored by Bank of America. The walk will take place from 8:30am - Noon and go from the Palace Ballroom (2100 5th Ave., Seattle) to the Space Needle, before returning to Palance Ballroom. For more information, please click here.
