39-year-old Tory Long was sentenced on Monday to eight months in jail and to pay a $111,000 fine for crashing into the SR 529 Bridge between Everett and Marysville last December.
Long pled guilty last August to attempting to elude a police vehicle and DUI. If she can keep her job, Long will be allowed out of jail on work release early to begin repaying the state.
The major commuter bridge suffered severe damage and had to be shut down for four days. The WashingtonState Department of Transportation said the extensive repairs cost $115,000.
