SEATTLE - A Washington State Patrol vehicle was damaged in an early Saturday morning chase that ended in a crash near downtown Seattle early Saturday.
A Washington State Patrol spokesperson says the driver was speeding along south bound I-5 when a trooper tried to pull him over.
The car exited onto Mercer Street where the driver lost control and crashed into a wall in a construction zone. The driver tried to take off again before hitting at WSP cruiser and then crashing through a fence.
A female passenger in the car was taken to Harborview Medical Center with minor injuries, the driver was transported to the King County Jail.
The Trooper in in the WSP cruiser was not injured and the vehicle suffered minor damage.
