Seattle Police are investigating another robbery and assault incident in the University District.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m Friday on the 1500 block of NE 52nd st.

Police say two male suspects jumped from some nearby bushes and punched the victim in the eye before they took $20 cash and a six-pack of Dr. Pepper and then fled the scene.

Shortly after the incident, two possible suspects were detained by Seattle Police but the victim was not able to positively identify them so police released them from the scene

Police say one of the two people detained had a prior conviction for robbery and both were seen in the area at the time the crime happened.

The victim did not sustain serious injuries and declined medical treatment at the scene,.
