SEATTLE - Veteran Seattle Seahawks cornerback Marcus Trufant has agreed to terms on a one-year contact to remain with the team for 2012 season, the team reports.

Trufant, a first-round draft choice in 2003, had been released March 8.

In his first nine seasons, Trufant started 123 games and in 2004 he became the only cornerback in franchise history and fourth in league history to lead his team in tackles. A back problem forced him to miss six games in 2009 and 12 games last season.
