MERCERISLAND, Wash. -- Mercer Island Police are looking for two suspects who pulled a gun on a homeowner, and tried to forcibly enter her home.

Attached are two composite drawings of the suspects involved in the robbery and believed to be responsible for the burglary.

Officers said two suspects knocked on the door of a home on the 8200 block of West Mercer Way around 5:00 p.m.

A woman answered the door and the suspects told her they were looking for landscaping work, according to police.

When she refused and tried to close the door, officers said the suspects tried to kick the door down and pulled a gun on the woman.

She was able to slam the door shut and lock it before calling 911.

The suspects are described as black males in their 20's, wearing black hooded clothing. One of the suspects is described as having tattoos on his arms.

Since the crime occurred, a stolen vehicle believed to be the car the suspects used as a getaway vehicle was located. It was described as a maroon, older model 4-door sedan that has been lowered, similar to a FordFalcon.

Police said the car was stolen from Tukwila. In the neighborhood where the car was recovered from, another home was broken into.Officers said the two crimes are likely linked.
