Sunday was the grand finale of the 2013 Seafair, and attendance this year was less than three-quarters of what organizers expected.

Seafair predicted 160,000 people would attend, but fell 45,000 short. Organizers say likely reasons are bad weather on Friday and the absence of perennial Blue Angels air show, which was cancelled due to federal budget cuts.

The Patriots Jet Show filled in, with mixed reviews from attendees KING 5 spoke with. Seafair hopes to have both air shows perform next year.

The Blue Angels also did not perform at Seafair in 1994 and 1995, years in which attendance dropped nearly 50 percent.
