SEATTLE - King County records show Seattle Arena investor Chris Hansen has swallowed up more land in the SoDo neighborhood.

Hansen bought 1757 1st Avenue South for $1.8 million, according to King County Real Estate records, back on December 28th. Records show his holding company, WSA Properties, received the deed from 1757 LLC on that day. This would mean Hansen, and his investors, have now spent close to $56 million dollars on land for the proposed Arena project.

The parcel has been used for warehouse purposes, and most recently as a HDTV store. It is across the street from another Hansen land purchase, of the old Paper Zone store, which sources say has been designated for a possible parking garage.

Hansen s Arena Proposal was approved by City leaders last year, as is currently in the midst of a design and environmental review. A lawsuit aiming to block the project is scheduled to be heard in February.
