TACOMA, Wash. -- Cori Woodward scored 13 to lead four players in doubles figures as Prairie beat Franklin of Seattle 54-44 to win the Class 3A state girls basketball title on Saturday night.

Megan Lindsley scored 11 and Jackie Lanz and Andrea Smith had 10 points apiece as top-ranked Prairie (27-1) won its second 3A title and seventh state title overall. The Falcons lost to Holy Names in last year's championship game.

Jadea Brundidge had 15 points and 14 rebounds to lead No. 4 Franklin (24-4), which had won 20 consecutive games. Patrice Toston added 10 points for the Quakers, who were seeking their first state title.

Prairie of suburban Vancouver won 27 straight games after losing its season opener to Skyview of Vancouver, a Class 4A school.
