PUYALLUP, Wash. -- While Josh Powell called the police raid of his home Thursday grandstanding , he believes the search will clear his name.

Powell is a person of interest in his wife s disappearance.

His wife Susan was last seen at her Utah home in December of 2009.

Utah police served a search warrant at his Puyallup home Thursday. Josh told KING 5 News it was to seize copies of Susan Powell s journals.

He said the journals could help prove his theory Susan left her family for another man.

They [the journals] describe severe emotional abuse she suffered as a child which led her to, basically, leave, said Josh Powell.

Utah police will not confirm if they took Susan s journals.

While a police spokesperson said they were not planning any additional searches in Puyallup, detectives remained in Pierce County Friday.

Josh said that did not worry him.

I had nothing to do with Susan s disappearance. I m not concerned what they re here for or whether or not they re staying, he said.
