Microsoft will end technical support for two of its most popular products, Windows XP and Office 2003, on April 8, 2014.

The company said XP customers would no longer receive security updates or get tech support one year from now.

Moving away from Windows XP to a more modern platform in Windows 7 and Windows 8 will ready your IT infrastructure for future technology solutions and growth of your company, said Erwin Visser, general manager for Windows Commercial.

Microsoft said a big reason for customers to upgrade is to improve security.
