PASADENA, Ca. -- On one Rose Bowl Parade float, 72 people were honored for donating their organs. Two Washington men were among the group that was celebrated in Pasadena, California on New Year's Day.

Tony Radulescu, a Washington State Trooper who was killed in the line of duty last February, received special recognition. He was an organ donor. After his death, Radulescu's corneas helped restore sight for two people.

He gave to his community by serving them for 16 years as a Trooper and he continues to give, said Radulescu's girlfriend Gina Miller.

Elliot Carbajal of Marysville was also honored on the float. After he died as a result of a brutal beating in 2009, his kidneys helped restore life for two people.

To know my brother's picture is going to be one that float is absolutely amazing, said Norman Carbajal.

Loved ones of both Carbajal and Trooper Radulescu had a front row seat for the parade.

It is very emotional. It's sad, but it is nice at the same time to be able to see the good that the donors have done for the recipients, said Miller.
