LONDON -- Kirkland track cyclist Jennie Reed finally won a medal for the first time in three Olympics.

Team USA won the silver in Women s Team Pursuit Saturday while racing against a dominant Great Britain team that shattered its own world record.

The U.S. team of Sarah Hammer, Dotsie Bausch and Lauren Tamayo finished in 3:19.727 for silver, while Canada put together its best ride of the Olympics to earn the bronze.

Dani King, Laura Trott and Joanna Rowsell delivered the home nation its fourth track cycling gold in five events. They finished in 3:14.051 to make the record they set earlier in the day -- 3:14.682 -- laughable.

They were so fast, they nearly lapped the U.S. team of Sarah Hammer, Dotsie Bausch and Lauren Tamayo, who finished in 3:19.727 for silver.

Although Reed did not race in the final, she will still get a medal by virtue of having raced in the preliminary rounds.

Canada put together its best ride of the Olympics to earn the bronze.
