SEATTLE- The threat of lightning is expected to continue into Tuesday night for much of Western Washington. The potential for thundershowers will diminish by about 11 pm and will remain greatest along/near the Cascades.

Thundershowers are also expected along the coast and in the mountains.
A red flag warning is in effect for most of Western Washington. Red flag warnings, which are rare for the west side of the Cascades, means conditions are ripe for new fires to start.
Flash flooding is possible in recent burn areas of the Okanogan Valley and Wenatchee areas.
By Wednesday night, the chance of showers should diminish and we'll see a return to morning clouds and afternoon sun and highs near 80 for the weekend.
