At least 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer's, a disease that slowly robs people of memories, cognitive abilities and eventually, their lives. A new book shares the hearts and minds of those caring for a loved one living with Alzheimer's. INTO THE STORM: JOURNEYS THROUGH ALZHEIMER'S is edited by award-winning journalist Collin Tong, who eloquently shares the ordeal he and his wife Linda faced in the years following her diagnosis of early-onset Alzheimer's at the age of 51.
Collin joined Margaret to talk more about the book and Alzheimer's from a caregiver's point of view, along with Bob Le Roy, Executive Director of the Alzheimer's Association(Central and Western Washington chapter). Bob shared his father's story in the foreword of INTO THE STORM.
