Mimi Jung set a goal of running a 15k next month as her goal for the Get Fit challenge. She had been working out regularly, but is changing up her routine for this new goal. Mimi has started High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) to help her increase her speed, endurance, and burn more calories.

Team doctor Emily Cooper from Seattle Performance Medicine said that HIIT workouts can help women over 45 increase their fitness level more. However, it's important to warmup and cool down properly because risk of injury is higher.
