SEATTLE-- The City of Seattle activated it's snow and ice plan for potential snow Wednesday and into Thursday.
Ahead of the snow, the Seattle Department of Transportation has been pre-treating roads with an anti-icing solution.
Starting at 4:00 a.m., 18 snow plows will work to clear roads and keep traffic flowing for the morning commute.
By 9:00 a.m., SDOTsaid crews will be on 24-hour shifts with as many as 30 plows devoted to keeping streets open.
Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn suggested people try to work alternate shifts, work from home or take public transportation.
