The Seattle Mariners have teamed up with Major League Baseball and the MLBPlayers Association to donate $225,000 to Oso landslide recovery efforts.

The team announced the contribution to the Red Cross landslide relief fund on April 2.

In addition, the public can donate at the team's home opener on April 8th. Volunteers from the Red Cross will be at the game collecting donations.

The scope of this tragedy is almost too big to comprehend. Our entire community is grieving for those whose lives have been affected by the mudslide. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Oso, Washington in this difficult time, said Howard Lincoln, Seattle Mariners Chair and CEO, in a press release.

Companies and organizations have made a number of other major monetary donations following the slide.

Here's a look at some of the major contributions:

- Snoqualmie Tribe gave a total of $275,000, including $50,000 each to Darrington, Arlington and Oso fire departments.
- Tulalip Tribes made two donations totaling $150,000. They gave $100,000 to Red Cross of Snohomish County and $50,000 to the local fund at Union Bank.
- Starbucks donated $50,000 to the American RedCross and $50,000 to the United Way of Snohomish County Recovery Fund
- Boeing and its employees gave $100,000 to Cascade Valley Hospital, United Way of Snohomish County and the Snohomish County chapter of the American Red Cross.
- Employees Community Fund of Boeing Puget Sound is also matching individual donations up to an additional $25,000.
- Stilaguamish Tribe gave $100,000
- Alaska Airlines added another $25,000 in donations for the Red Cross to assist with disaster relief.
