USA TODAY Sports will provide a snapshot of each team's roster and considerations heading into free agency, which officially begins March 11 at 4 p.m. ET:
Prominent free agents: WR Doug Baldwin (RFA), DL Michael Bennett, CB Brandon Browner, DE Red Bryant (released), TE Kellen Davis, RT Breno Giacomini, K Steven Hauschka, QB Tarvaris Jackson, S/ST Chris Maragos, TE Anthony McCoy, DT Tony McDaniel, DT Clinton McDonald, OL Paul McQuistan, FB Michael Robinson, WR Sidney Rice (released), DE/OLB O'Brien Schofield, WR Golden Tate, CB Walter Thurmond
Issues: When you've claimed the Lombardi Trophy, issues are all relative. But like all teams, the Seahawks have bridges to cross. QB Russell Wilson and all-pro DBs Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas will be at the front of the line for new contracts in a year. More immediate decisions must be made on Bennett, Hauschka and Tate, all players Seattle would like to have back. Releasing Bryant and Rice should give GM John Schneider enough leeway to deal.
Our advice: Bennett, who can create pressure from the edge or up the gut, ought to be given priority over Tate, who's still an important cog given what he does on special teams and as a downfield blocker in addition to his receiving contributions. A bit surprising reliable Hauschka didn't get the relatively cheap franchise tag for kickers, so we'd try to get something done quickly given how well he's held up in Seattle's elements. McDaniel, Thurmond and Giacomini would be on the next tier, provided Schneider is comfortably in position to handle his primary business in 2015.
