COEUR D'ALENE -- Two winners. Two course records.

Boulder, CO triathlete and Ben Hoffman and Kelowna, BC native Heather Wurtele set new Ironman Coeur d'Alene marks in their winning performances.

Hoffman, who began competing in triathlons as a student at the University of Montana, finished in 8:17:34. The 29-year old finished 8:32 ahead of 2005 and 2012 winner Viktor Zyemtsev.

The win marked Hoffman's third Ironman title in his first appearance in Coeur d'Alene.

Wurtele crossed the finish line in 9:16:02. She has now logged four Ironman victories, with this being her first in Coeur d'Alene.
