Work on Lowell-Larimer Road in Everett begins Monday to repair damage from landslides and erosion.

Storms have taken a toll on the popular road that connects dozens of homes and Highway 9.

Crews will start the project by repairing damage on the east side of the 5900 block of Lowell-Larimer Road. The project is expected to be completed by the end of November.

Drivers and bicyclists can expect temporary lane closures and delays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays.

Everett city spokesperson Kate Reardon says the repairs are unrelated to a slide that caused four Valley View Neighborhood homes to sink.

One home has been completely swallowed by the hillside that shifts more quickly during the rainy seasons.
