Two Microsoft workers from Seattle were killed in Peru while celebrating their anniversary this week.

Lee Dirks and his wife Judy Lew died Tuesday when their tour van veered off the road and plunged down a ravine in Calca.

Dirks was director of portfolio strategy in Microsoft Research Connections. Lew worked in the Microsoft Office group.

Dirks also served as an advisor with the University of Washington's Information School.

Both are survived by their two young children.
