BREMERTON, Wash. -- Bremerton Police believe the same person of interest in last week's murder may tied to another murder and assault that occurred last summer.

Melody Brannon, 61, was killed on February 3 on the 1300 block of High Avenue.

Friday, police began investigating whether that case was tied to two other case.

Sara Burke was murdered on May 3, 2011, around 9:30 p.m. in the 800 block of Warren Avenue in Bremerton.

On June 20, 2011, a male was attacked near Burwell Street and High Avenue.

The person of interest in Brannon's murder is described as a light-skinned black male, in his late teens or early 20's, 6-feet tall with a slender build, and longer hair. He has a possible blemish or birthmark near his nose and lip. He was described as wearing a black or navy blue hat, a white t-shirt, and jacket.

He was last seen a block from Bremerton High School, February 3, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.
