EVERETT, Wash. Two homes that have been quickly sinking due to a landslide partially collapsed Thursday afternoon.

Several homes have been sliding over the past few weeks in the Valley View neighborhood along Burl Avenue and Panaview Boulevard.

A crack in the earth first appeared about six weeks ago. Heavy rains accelerated the sliding.

At least two homes had been red tagged, meaning they have been declared unsafe to enter. A third home was marked with a yellow tag, allowing limited access.
