A group fishing off the southern California coast on Monday hauled in a mako shark of possibly record-breaking size.
The shark is around 11 feet long and weighs more than 1,300 pounds. It took the fishermen more than two hours and a quarter mile of line to reel in the shark.
The shark will most likely be donated to a research organization. The fishermen that caught it are still waiting to learn whether their catch of the day broke a world record.
