LYNNWOOD, Wash. - A tiny American black bear is being cared for at PAWS Wildlife Shelter after she was founds starving in Oregon.

The four-pound female bear and her male sibling were rescued from the side of a highway near Corvallis, Oregon last month. The male did not survive.

The female bear has been at PAWS for three weeks, and her caregivers say she is gaining weight and getting stronger every day.

If she continues to improve, the bear will be returned to the wild in Oregon sometime next spring.
