Twitter / Cosmopolitan: Amazing humans deface plastic ...

The billboard in Jackson, Mich., for Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery shows two muffins in blue jeans.

The Jackson City Police Department is investigating who is behind the vandalism, according to a police report.

Post by Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery.

The plastic surgery center defended the ad July 29 on Facebook, saying Our ads were meant to emphasize the lighter side of plastic surgery, and were certainly not targeted at one particular group or body composition.

The online reaction to the ad has been split between support and disapproval.

The center posted a picture of the billboard, pre-vandalism, on Facebook in May. In a comment on the picture, Ann Arbor Plastic Surgery said, This ad is not to offend anyone. It's simply to get people to chuckle.

One commentator said, LOL! I like it!

But not everyone saw the billboard as humorous.

If this was supposed to make people chuckle, you have NO EMPATHY! one person wrote.

I will see the lighter side when you stop making signs that destroy the confidence of our community, wrote another person.
