KENT, Wash. A King County judge has ordered Boston Celtics basketball player Terrence Williams held on $25,000 bail.

Williams appeared briefly before a judge Monday afternoon, a day after he was arrested and accused by Kent Police of waving a gun at the mother of his 10-year-old son during a visitation exchange.

A court document says Williams was at the Park Place Apartments in Kent to drop off his son at the mother s apartment. The document says the mother came outside to talk to Terrence about some disparaging remarks that Terrance had made in the past about her other children.

The document claims the mother started banging on his car s hood, and that prompted Williams to pull out a handgun, stick it out the driver side window, and aim it at the mother. The document also says the mother backed away and Terrence drove forward and waved the gun out the window.

Police said they later contacted Williams and he was arrested. The document says he admitted pulling the gun because he felt threatened, but denied pointing it at anyone.

The 25-year-old Williams attended Rainier Beach High School in Seattle and played for Louisville in college. He played this past season for the Boston Celtics of the NBA.
