Congress paid tribute to Rosa Parks with a statue strategically placed in the U.S. Capitol Building in Washington DC. The statue was unveiled yesterday by President Obama, who was joined by a number of lawmakers from both parties, putting aside their differences to remember a quiet woman who helped launch the civil rights movement, simply by refusing to move to the back of a bus in Montgomery, Alabama in 1955. This was the first new statue commissioned for the Capitol Building's Statuary Hall in 140 years!

Here in Seattle, a unique play will pay tribute to another trailblazer, abolitionist Harriet Tubman. It's called Harriet's Return, and stars Karen Jones-Meadows, who also co-produced the production. Karen gives us a preview of what to expect from this one woman show. Her co-producer, Juan Huey Ray, also joins us to share all of the hard work that went into putting on this production.

The show will be help at the Langston Hughes Performing Art Center in Seattle. The shows are March 1st at 7:30pm, March 2nd at 7:30pm and March 3rd, at 3:00pm.
