Seattle Police say drugs may be the cause of a teen driver losing control and crashing a car into an occupied house in South Seattle.

The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday on the 5500 block of 15th Avenue South. Officers arrived on scene to find a car that crashed into a house.

Police say the 18-year-old male driver lost control of the 2003 Honda Accord he was driving northbound on 15th Ave S.

Nobody inside the house was injured. There were three other passengers inside the car at the time of the crash, they were also not hurt.

Investigators say the driver displayed obvious signs of being under the influence of drugs, they had a Drug Recognition Expert officer respond to evaluate the driver.

Shortly after being evaluated, the teen was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
