We've been learning about the tremendous work being done by the people at Reach Out and Read Washington State. The program helps parents understand the importance of reading to children from birth and teams up with pediatricians and other health care providers to provide resources and books. Today, we learned about how reading helps babys with special needs grow and thrive.

Jill Sells, MD, Executive Director of Reach Out and Read Washington and Jodie Zaricor, NP, Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic at Mary Bridge Children's Hospital and Health Center, joined Margaret to talk more about why it's so crucial for clinics and practices that treat young children to be involved with the program.
