SEATTLE- KING 5 News has learned that financial giant ING Financial Partners is shopping around town for offers to settle with clients of disgraced Eastside money guru Rhonda Breard.
Breard is charged with bilking some $8 million from her clients to support a lavish lifestyle.
Seattle attorney John Bender who represents one of Breard's alleged victims says he believes a settlement decision should come by the end of the week.
ING Financial Partners continues to cooperate with authorities and is is focused on moving toward a resolution for impacted clients, said ING spokesman Dana Ripley.
The question remains how much will clients see. Will it be just the principal they invested with Breard, or will there be interest and other gains?
Breard, charged with mail fraud, was scheduled to be in federal court for a preliminary hearing next week. She and her lawyer informed the court on Wednesday they waive their right to that hearing fueling speculation a deal with prosecutors could be in the works.
