KIRKLAND, Wash. -- Buying holiday gifts is how many people express gratitude and affection for friends and family. But a mother and daughter inKirkland think shoppers would rather pay someone else to stand in BlackFriday lines.

We get a kick out of it, said Catherine, who asked to keep her last name private. We enjoy Gray Thursday and Black Friday bonding time for just her andItogether.

Her 16-year-old daughter Faith put an ad on Craigslist, offering gift buying and wrapping services, as well as babysitting and holiday party cleanup as a way to make money while everyone else spends it.

Ihate shopping any other day of the year, said Faith. I figure, why not help other people who don't like shopping.

Other local odd offerings on Craigslist include Black Friday Help, which in that casemeans camping in line before a store opens.

But for Catherine and Faith, there's a financial component to their quirky ad.

Things are tight. Ilive with my parents, said Catherine. That's exactly why we shop on [Black Friday]. Idon't have a lot of money and Ihave three kids that Ihave to provde for.

Catherine said she has saved all year for her holiday shopping. She and Faith hoped their services would offset the costs.

But so far, there have been no takers.
