Josh Green has been a member of the KING 5 News team since July 2014, fulfilling a dream he's had since college. The mountains near Seattle have always felt like home for Josh, which is a little odd since he grew up near the swamps of Louisiana.

He got his start in TV news at the young age of 16 when a local station gave him the chance to be a Teen Reporter, presenting stories once a week on the 6:00 newscast. Since then, Josh has made stops in Tennessee, Raleigh, NC, and Tampa, FL, getting some recognition along the way including an Edward R. Murrow award.

But Josh will tell you the reason he's been in the business more than a decade now is because he learns something new from it every day.

"Knowledge is power," is one of his favorite quotes and it's often his personal reminder of why he loves interacting with new people each day.

Outside of the newsroom, Josh admits to being an avid hiker, a mediocre triathlete, and a bad snowboarder. He lives in Seattle with his good pal Truman, a Jack Russell Terrier. If you see them out for a walk or at a nearby park, say hello. Send him news stories while you're at it: JGreen@king5.com
