Teresa Yuan joined the Belo Family in August 2008. She was hired by Northwest Cable News as the Portland Bureau reporter and fill-in anchor at KGW, Belo's NBC afiiliate in Portland, OR.
In March of 2010, Teresa was brought to KING 5, the Home Team, in Seattle as a morning reporter and fill-in anchor.
Before moving to the Pacific Northwest, she worked in Las Vegas at FOX5 for 2 years as a nightside reporter/fill-in anchor. Prior to Las Vegas, Teresa reported and anchored in Monterey, CA at the NBC-affiliate KSBW. Teresa got her first on-air job at KRCR in Redding, California in 2002.
The San Francisco native went to the University of California, Berkeley, for her undergraduate degree and then to Northwestern University for her master's degree at the Medill School of Journalism.
Some highlights in her career have been working as a Washington, D.C., correspondent for WDAZ and WDAY as part of her graduate program. Teresa won an SPJ Excellence Award for her Post-September 11th coverage. And was recently nominated for a TV Emmy for exposing a "Surfer Feud" in Seaside, OR.
In her spare time, Teresa loves traveling, cooking, volleyball, softball, tennis and watching football.
